This lively vinegar is a balance of organic Cabernet wine vinegar with a touch of sweet, aromatic chestnut honey. It has a dynamic acidity balanced by the sweetness of the honey, and is excellent in salad dressings or sprinkled on fresh vegetables.

Alemany is a tiny family company located in the Catalan village of Os de Balaguer, population 400. The area is surrounded by natural parks, and the people have always lived off of the fruits of the land and surrounding forests.

In 1879 the family started offering honey and turrón, a Christmas candy made from nuts and honey. These farmhouse sweets became a favorite of travelers who stopped by the town. In the 1970s, Miquel Alemany y Boix decided to share his family’s creations with the world, using top quality packing facilities to capture the products at their best.

Alemany gained many awards for the quality of its honeys over the years, including a coveted Great Taste Award™ in 2010 for their chestnut honey. This vinegar is his newest innovation.
