Tortilla de Patatas Española is one of the most important dishes in Spanish cooking. A classic Spanish omelet is a staple in my restaurants and in every Spanish household – it makes for a satisfying, quick and nourishing meal.
This tortilla is made with a mixture of free-range eggs, Spanish potatoes, and caramelized onion – I can’t wait for you to try it! Eat like a Spaniard!
Cooking Instructions
*Defrost in refrigerator before use. Between 32-39.2°F (0-4°C)
Microwave (1 minute, 30 seconds)
Remove the package and heat on the highest setting for 1 1/2 minutes.
*All cooking times are estimates and will vary per microwave.
Frying Pan (2 minutes)
1. Add a few drops of extra virgin olive oil into the pan and heat on medium-high.
2. Remove the omelet from the package and place in pan.
3. Cook for 1 minute and flip the omelet to the other side for another minute.
*If a creamier texture is desired, reduce cooking time to 45 seconds per side.
Oven (15 minutes)
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Remove the package and place the omelet on the oven tray.
3. Bake for 15 minutes.
