Horchata de Chufa is one of Spain's most famous drinks, originally from the south of the country. Made of ground chufa nuts (‘tigernuts’ in English) grown in Valencia, horchata is sweet and refreshing with just a touch of lemon and cinnamon.
No refrigeration is needed to store the horchata until you are ready to serve it – just place it in the fridge until very well chilled before serving (or if you want a very refreshing icy drink, put it in the freezer for a few hours!) Shake well before serving and store for up to 3 days after opening.
